C & C Alpacas

Shearing day June 2007 is a day we are not soon to forget...it was our first shearing experience and thanks to the folks at Beartooth Alpacas it was a wonderful experience for us!

We sheared all 5 of our boys and it took approximatly 5 hours, some did great standing during the shearing and some did better laying on the ground, but not a one of them took to spitting to show us how they felt :)

This was a process we were a bit apprehensive about since this really is the most 'work' you will have to put into owning alpacas, but with the guided experience of Jim and Gail we are happy to report that this is really a simple process. Not something to try on your own but with the help of trained shearers, can be done along with toe nail trimming and worming by alpaca owners.
